As Human Resources and Marketing Manager, I draw on my years of teaching to bring strong communication and organizational skills to our team. I enjoy creating—whether that’s new marketing ideas or ways to support our employees. Married to Kevin, the owner, I’m passionate about supporting and growing our family business and proud to carry forward the legacy of Slagel Insulation.

I enjoy quilting and sewing, which let me express my creativity in fun, hands-on ways. I also love getting lost in a good book and spending quality time with my family—these moments keep me inspired and energized for both work and life.

Family/Life Details:

I’m the middle child of three and have been happily married to Kevin for 27 years. We have four wonderful children, and our two oldest are married, which makes family life full of love, laughter, and plenty of memories.

Duties:

#1 Parts and Errand Runner, "Mr. Fix-It", Forklift Operator, and whatever else comes up! Jack-of-all-trades!

Worked at Koehl Bros. for 7 years prior to starting the businesses.

Restoring antique case tractors, using the tractors to plow for local farmers or at plow days.

Attending Tractor Shows and Demonstrations featuring antique tractors.

Married to Lucy for 56+ years.

Have 5 children (Anita, Kevin, Ryan, Erika, and Kristin)

15 Grandchildren

Came from a family of 14 children (7 boys, 7 girls)

Worked, worked, and worked some more as the oldest girl in the family (imagine having 12 brothers!!)

Worked at Dave's Supermarket prior to having children.

Diesel joined the Slagel Insulation team in August 2024 and quickly earned the title of "most loved team member." Always eager to ride along and check out the jobsites, he keeps spirits high and never misses a chance to learn something new. With his Slagel bandana and wagging tail, Diesel makes every workday a little brighter.
